THE HONOLULU Academy of Arts will organize the '3rd Annual Bollywood Film Festival' from January 23 to March 2.
The films, which will be screened in Academy’s Doris Duke Theatre, will be from various film genres, including family centric romantic comedies, critically acclaimed based on epics, a Shakespearean tragedy, Mumbai noir, and socially conscious cinema. Welcoming the Festival, acclaimed Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) said on Tuesday that Indian cinema was now getting respect internationally, which has been long overdue. Zed, who is chairperson of the Indo-American Leadership Confederation, urged the Indian Government to aggressively promote Indian cinema in world markets.
