Headly claims Ishrat Jahan was a LeT operative
Ishrat was killed by Gujarat police in an encounter outside Ahmedabad. Official sources said that this disclosure was made by Headley, when he was questioned by a four member team of Indian officials from the National Investigating Agency in Chicago.
In what could be termed as the vindication for Gujarat police, which has been accused of staging fake encounters time and again. Lashkar-e-Toiba operative David Headley, who was questioned by Indian sleuths recently has revealed that Ishrat Jahan, a Mumbai girl killed in an encounter was indeed a suicide bomber of the terror group. Headley’s version meanwhile goes according to the claims of Gujarat police that the girl was a terrorist and recruited to attack the state chief minister Narendra Modi, an allegation denied vehemently by her family.
