Healthy dietary tips for a healthy heart
Heart is an important part of the body as it supplies oxygen to all the parts of your body. It pumps the oxygenated blood to the body and collects the de-oxygenated blood from the body, which is again purified in the heart.

SO TO keep your heart healthy, you need to adopt some healthy eating habits. All the things you include in your diet directly affects the health of your heart. It's the nutrients that make your heart healthy and helps in functioning of your body in a positive way.

There is an assumption that cardiac patients should cut down all the fat in their diet, but it is not true. There are some fats that are really needed for a healthy heart such as omega-3 fatty acids, omega-6 fatty acids and mono unsaturated fatty acids, and the fatty acids that are to be avoided are trans fatty acids, Divya, a nutritionist, told this CJ.

The healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids are present in fish, salmonella, and flax seeds, etc., to incorporate these fats in your daily diet you can prepare a flax seeds powder and add it in your curry which you prepare. Omega-6 fatty acids are present in almonds, walnuts, cashews, and soya products, etc. You can include these nuts in your snacking habit.

Heart functions on a regular phase and fuels the body, for this continuous fueling purpose a healthy snacking habit is very essential. The packed sodium containing foods like chips and any kind of cold beverages are to be avoided as snack, because sodium affects the blood pressure which in turn affects the functioning of heart.

The healthy snacking habits can include yogurt or fresh fruits, which can be taken as juices or shakes instead of going for processed commercial beverages or foods as snacks.

Apart from this, the cooking techniques we follow also needs improvement, like adapting grilling or pronching type of techniques instead of going for a deep fry. Try to sort the vegetables and seasoning them by spraying oil on them, so that we get a feel of oil.

One more thing to be concentrated is 'reduction of calories', avoiding bakery stuffs which are made of refined flour or maida and white bread and some some sugar drinks is needed for a healthy heart.

When people with cardiac issues consult the doctor, then their dietary restrictions are at a higher level as their cholesterol levels are at higher levels. So the first indication for them is to cut down their weight, to keep your weight under control and to have control over your blood pressure, healthy eating habits are very essential.

The individuals with cardiac issues should be more conscious over their dietary habits like the ounce and pies and the cups you eat should be under control. A balanced meal and a colourful stuff in your meal will help you and your heart to stay healthy.
