Heartless MPs unaffected by Anna's struggle
It is giving me great agony that a pious person like Anna Hazare, who is 74-years-old, is fasting unto death. He is doing all this for a better future of our children.

IT IS giving me great agony that a pious person like Anna Hazare, who is 74-years-old, is fasting unto death. He is doing all this for a better future of our children. Yesterday, on occasion of Janmashtmi when I was fasting, I realized that staying without food was a tough task. Although I had an option of consuming fruits and milk, the pangs of hunger were still unbearable.

It’s sad that the lawmakers are unable to see all this. How can they forget about the sacrifices made by freedom fighters; they brought us freedom at the cost of their lives. They formed 'Naujavan Bharat Sabha' to spread the message of revolution in India; formed 'Hindustan Prajatantra Sangha' along with Chandrasekhar Azad to build  a republic in India; assassinated police official Saunders to retaliate the death of one great leader Lala Lajpat Rai.

These freedom fighters did not know that the same thing would be repeated in the future; some of their selfish countrymen would again and again demand same sacrifices from other pious men.

It’s hard to figure out what the government’s intentions are. A person as pious as father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi is struggling to fight corruption, but the government is not ready to cooperate. He has lost more than 5kg weight in just 5 days, but no one cares. Even our honest Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is unable to understand the pain and suffering of Hazare, as well as the common people.

In words of Anna, "Corruption is everywhere. It knows everything but everyone is involved in this. Government is fully involved in this corruption. There is a chain of corruption right from bottom to the top. We have to break this chain of corruption for the future."

Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, etc. are few honest personalities who are supporting Anna in his mission. The citizens too have realized the importance of the mission and are standing hand in hand in support of Anna’s Janlokpal Bill. Now, it’s time for the government to open its eyes and do something about corruption before it is too late.
