In Mandi district of Himachal Pardesh, the road traffic on NH - 21 near Pandoh, which remained blocked since last night due to heavy landslide, was restored this afternoon with the help of bull-dozers and other heavy machines.
NORMAL LIFE was badly affected following heavy rains lashing various parts of lower Himachal Pradesh comprising Hamirpur, Una, Mandi, Chamba, Kangra, Una and Bilaspur. The rain has brought down the temperature and at many places people have brought out light woolen garments to save themselves from cold.
According to latest reports, road traffic was badly affected in many parts of lower Himachal due to heavy rains and huge debris blocking the roads. Workers of the the Public works department were busy clearing roads but found it difficult to carry on their job due to continuous rains.

Hundreds of vehicles stranded on both sides of the roads went to their destinations towards Mandi and Kulu. Heavy incessant rain has continued for over 15- hours in Beas region disrupting the normal life and Beas River is in a spate, reports said.
In Mandi town, the upper Bhiuli locality remained plunged into darkness yesterday due to a cable fault which was detected after 12 hours. Traffic, telecommunications, power and water supply were partially affected.
It has been raining heavily in various parts of the districts of Hamirpur, Una, Kangra, Chamba and Bilaspur as a result people were forced to remain indoors. HP Department of Metrology has forecast more rains in the state during next twenty-four hours.
