The weather bureau said that Mumbai, the city and the suburban had recorded a rainfall of 73.3mm and 76.2mm respectively till 8.30 am. More showers and heavy rains in expected in the next 24 hours in some areas of Mumbai.
HEAVY RAINS in Mumbai continued for the third consecutive day. However, the rains did not cause any distruption in the normal life of a Mumbaiite. The suburban trains were running as per the schedule with a little delay of around ten to fifteeen minutes in the morning.
Officials from Konkan railways said that trains coming from Southern region to Mumbai were running late due to heavy rainfalls in states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Konkan. However, they added that the trains leaving Mumbai on the Konkam railway route will be on schedule and there will be no cancellations.
The rush hours saw no disruption of rail and traffic on the roads. Also there were no reports of any major water logging in the city.

However, as the day progressed the rainfall subsided but more showers and heavy rains in expected in the next 24 hours in some areas of Mumbai.
