Heinz recalls baby food, plastic pieces found in baby food packs
Nutraceutical Company Heinz has issued recall for thousands of baby food packs as they were found containing small pieces of plastic?a dangerous choking hazard for kids who consume the food.

NUTRACEUTICAL COMPANY Heinz has issued recall for thousands of baby food packs as they were found containing small pieces of plastic—a dangerous choking hazard for kids who consume the food.

A batch of Heinz Fruity Custard Fruit Medley baby food was identified as a choking hazard on Tuesday.
Reportedly, four cases have come to light in UK where parents found plastic in the baby food pots. The company has issued a warning and is all set to circulate notices to not buy the hazardous baby food.

The recall surprisingly comes at a time when the most coveted car making companies are setting a record in defective vehicles – Toyota, Honda, Peugeot whose customers across the world are harrowed and filing law suites against them.

The baby food company’s recall now turns another shocking discovery for customers who generally rely on popular brands assuming that they won’t be ditched by the quality.

Also, as per reports the choking plastic material in baby food is an upsetting for a name like Heinz which always claims that the food designed for vulnerable babies has gone through stringent safety tests before it reaches customers.

A statement on the firm's website reads: 'Heinz is taking the precautionary measure of recalling part of an isolated batch of Heinz Fruity Custard, Fruit Medley baby food in 4 x 100g pots because of the potential presence of small pieces of plastic from the inside of the pot which could present a choking risk.

It adds: 'This product must not be consumed. If you have any pots of the affected product please call the Heinz UK Careline on 08000 151557 for a full refund, or in the Republic of Ireland 1800 696979.
'We apologise for any inconvenience caused.'
