THE HIMACHAL Government has started helicopter flights for tribal areas during the winter so that people in these areas do not face any inconvenience due to snowfall.

In this series, the first flight took place from Bhuntar to Stingeri (Keylong). 16 persons were carried from Bhuntar to Stingeri and 20 persons brought from Stingeri to Bhuntar, according to Secretary, General Administration, Government of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Ajay Bhandari.

He said that schedule of flights for 11th and 12th January, 2012 has also been finalised. He said that on 11th January helicopter will fly between Bhunter-Killar, Killar-Chamba, Chamba-Killar and Killar-Bhuntar and on 12th January helicopter will be sent from Bhuntar to Stingeri and Udaipur and bring people on its return journeys as well.
