Here comes the official apology from Arvind Kejriwal to the Delhi public; seeks fresh elections
Aam Aadmi Party's chief Arvind Kejriwal has apologized today to the people of Delhi for quiting the Delhi government. In a press conference, while regretting his decision of resigning from the post of Delhi Chief Minister, Kejriwal accepted that the people were angry with the AAP for its hasty decision.

Refuting the various speculations that AAP will come forward to form the government again in Delhi, Kejriwal said that the party would like to prepare for the fresh Assembly elections rather than trying to form the government in Delhi. He said that AAP would not approach to the people to seek their views on forming the government in Delhi.

In Delhi Assembly AAP has 27 MLAs, while BJP is having 32 MLAs and the Congress has 8 MLAs. The magic figure to form the government in Delhi was 36, which has now become 34.

Kejriwal while addressing the media said that "it is not the right time to form the government" and also added that AAP will start fresh Sabhas and gatherings to convince people to vote for them. He cleared that AAP is not having the numbers to form the government and will not take the help from any other party to form the government in Delhi.

The Congress, with whose support AAP has initially formed the government in Delhi, has already made it clear that it would not support AAP this time to form the government in Delhi.

Kejariwal also said that the decision to resign from the Delhi government has been misinterpreted by the people and the people have been misled. "We had reduced electricity bills, but the Congress increased the bills again through L-G. Police started bullying people. Sales tax officials started raiding. People felt we left them in this situation and that is why they are angry with us," said Kejriwal.

With this press conference it looks that Kejriwal has fully acknowledged the mistakes his party has made. AAP has fielded 430 candidates across the country in Lok Sabha elections but could manage to win only four seats in one state i.e. Punjab.
