Here Salman Khan dictates the terms

In a new business proposition Salman Khan is writing Bollywood history by dictating to the producers his terms and conditions. With 100 crores movies in his kitty, he seems fit for the role.

THE BUSINESS in the B town is changing with leaps and bounds. When compared with yesteryear, these days the actor needs to go out and promote a film so that it does well at the box office. They also need to make television appearances as a lot goes into selling the satellite rights and the audiences at home need to be interested in the movie beforehand so that they watch it when it is eventually shown on the small screen. Salman Khan is bringing in another twist to the business by dictating his terms to the producers of his future films.

According to zeenews.com, the actor, who is known for his big heart, wants his producers to be happy with a remuneration of about 15-20 crores over the production charges. This means that all the further proceeds of the films that he will do in the future will go to him. This would mean a high amount of cash being transfered to his account as everyone knows that his movies are renowned to cross the coveted 100 crore line.

This is not the only guideline that actor will follow in the future. He has set guidelines for his music directors, shooting schedule and costumes of the actresses. To put it more clearly the star will hold all the cards and like other cast and crew of his film, even the producers will receive a fixed salary for their efforts. A source however, showed the con side of the deal, “Though many may think that Salman`s decision smells of over confidence, the new rule makes a lot of sense. One needs to understand, that by agreeing to pay the production costs and a fixed amount to the producers, Salman is taking a huge risk. In case a film fails to generate expected returns, he will lose a lot of money.”

For now however, the hero of Ek Tha Tiger is on a winning streak and anyone who knows the star and has heard of him will know that the producers have no other choice but to go with his plans. However they will surely endure the pain of losing out hefty amount. According to Amod Mehta, trade analyst, apparently Salman is doing nothing new. The path has already being treaded by Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and even Akshay Kumar.
