Laxminarayana is investigating Jagan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case and Emar and Gali’s mining case now. The High Court has given him the time to file the explanation by 9th of this month. A man from Guntur named Bhushan Bhavanam filed a PIL seeking action on Laxminarayana for leaking news of these cases from time to time to selective media.

The Division bench also asked the CBI Counsel to suggest that Laxminarayana doesn't talk  to media like this in future. The Counsel to the petitioner requested the Court to order the BSNL GM to submit the list of phone calls and SMS list of Laxminarayana to Court. He also alleged that since he started the investigation Laxminarayana was talking to the Andhra Jyoti and Eenadu correspondents and it is against the CBI manual.
