The theory of multiple intelligences informs that the verbal-smart people are able to recall well the read and spoken information through mnemonic devices and language analogies. They are good at making speeches without prepared scripts or written notes with little training and practice. Often verbal-smart persons can make persuasive speeches and deliver motivational talks with language-art driven mantras and internalized language-based reasoning.
Verbal-smart people also like to use fancy words and play with the words to create mental images. They also remember lots of anecdotes, quotes and sayings. They are able to speak rhythmically with a lot of rhyming words and are good at subtle puns.
The career studies have shown that people with high verbal intelligence make good leaders, social reformers, teachers, preachers and pleaders if they use their intelligence ethically.
