Hillary Clinton rules out another presidential run
Clinton told a pair of television interviewers that she is very happy doing what she is doing as the Secretary of State. When asked if she could run for President, Clinton said: 'Well not me, but it will be someone.'
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that she will not run for president even in the aftermath of this week’s congressional midterms that saw Republicans take control of the House of Representatives and make big gains in the Senate. Clinton further said that the mid-term election results followed a trend in which the president’s party loses seats in Congress after his first two years in office. “Yeah, it’s big, but it’s not out of the pattern of historical political elections,” the Daily Express quoted Clinton, as saying.“And certainly I know that (the President) is going to work hard the next two years to build a strong relationship with the Congress, with the new leaders to get things done for our country,” she added.The opposition party was widely expected to make gains in Congress this year, after electoral cycles saw Democrats win control of Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008. At stake in the nationwide balloting were all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, more than one-third of the Senate, and more than half of America’s governorships.
