In a move that could assist the poor of Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal granted financial assistance to various sections across the Kangra valley.
HIMACHAL PRADESH Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal sanctioned Rs 1.22 lakhs for major and petty developmental works, medical and other financial assistance to the poor and needy persons of the area at Fatehpur in Kangra district where ‘Prashasan Janta ke Dwar’ was organised.
At least 450 cases, related to the different departments were received and 250 cases were settled on-the-spot, and the remaining were sent to the concerned department for early disposal. While presiding over the programme, Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the government was committed to accord priority for redressal of public grievances.He also sanctioned Rs 27 lakhs as second instalment for the construction of Bazir Ram Singh Pathania Stadium Fatehpur, whereas Rs 30 lakhs was also provided for the purpose initially. Besides, Rs 50 lakhs were sanctioned for the synthetic track in Dharamshala and Rs 35 lakhs for the construction of stadium at Jaisinghpur.
Dhumal also sanctioned an amount of Rs 1.5 lakhs each for the construction of Mahila Mandal Bhawans at Murla Tarkhana and Ward No. 23 of Rehan and two community centres for Ward No.21 of Gram Panchayat Bahadurpur and Kutherh gram panchayat. The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs. 50,000 each for the construction of rain shelters at Bus-stop Bhatian and Chakwari and Rs 75,000 for the construction of crimitorium at village Laarth.
