Himachal CM inaugurates Punjab and Sind Bank branch at Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh
Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh on 25th of December launched a new branch of Punjab and Sind Bank at Hamirpur. This is the 1127th branch of the Bank in the country and 20th branch in Himachal Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Virbhadra Singh congratulated the bank management for opening its new branch at Hamirpur. He said that the banks were playing an important role in economic development and trade activities of the country. He expressed hope that this branch of Punjab and Sindh bank would go a long way in promoting agricultural and industrial activities in the area.
Director, Punjab and Sind Bank, Shri Suresh Thakur said that this was 12th branch of the Bank opened during last one and half month period. He said that efforts had been made to open one branch of the bank in every district of the State.
Senior Manager, Chandigarh Zone Shri Veer Singh had welcomed the Chief Minister warmly. Earlier, the Chief Minister garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Chowk in Hamirpur.
Shri Ravi Thakur, MLA & Vice Chairman, National Schedule Tribe Commission, Shri Rajender Rana, MLA, Shri Vikramaditya Singh, President, State Youth Congress, Shri Ranjeet Singh, Ex-Minister, Shri Rupesh Kunwar, Member BoD, HPTDC, Shri Yashwant Chhajta, Member BoD, HIMUDA and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
