Himachal Pradesh launches a month-long AIDS awareness campaign
Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Rajeev Bindal said that in order to sensitise the young minds about AIDS, it has been decided to start educating the students in morning prayer assembly of every senior secondary school of the state from December 1.
ACCORDING TO Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Rajeev Bindal, in order to sensitise the young minds about AIDS, it has been decided to start educating the students in the morning prayer assembly of every senior secondary school of the state from December 1, the World AIDS Day.Bindal also informed that the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is going to launch a statewide awareness campaign World AIDS Day from Shimla which will last for the next 25 days. He added that similar functions are being organised in all district headquarters on Wednesday (November 1), where local legislators would participate to spread awareness about HIV-AIDS.
According the official information, Himachal Pradesh has 4,829 HIV positive cases presently.
