In a welcome decision, Himachal Pradesh cabinet has approved the filling up of 357 vacancies of Anganwari workers and helpers in different parts of the state.
HIMACHAL PRADESH Cabinet in a meeting, held at Shimla this afternoon, granted approval to fill up 357 vacancies of Anganwari workers/helpers in different parts of the State and also decided to open 83 Aanganwari/Mini Aanganwari Centres in the left out villages in the State. It has been decided to give preference to the Tailoring Teachers for appointment as Anganwari worker/helper while carrying fresh recruitment to above vacancies. Prem Kumar Dhumal, State Chief Minister, presided over the meeting.

With a view to modernize the fire services network to provide quick response services to the people, the Cabinet granted approval to purchase 9 Quick Response Vehicle, 17 Combi Tools and 21 High Pressure Pumps/Mini Water Tenders for deployment in different fire stations in the State.
Approval has been granted to fill up 20 posts of Junior Engineers (Civil), 5 posts of Junior Engineers (Mechanical) in Irrigation and Public Health Department; 10 posts of Havaldar Instructor/Quarter Master Havaldar in Home Department through direct recruitment on contract basis and 4 posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police through direct recruitment by HP Public Service Commission.
It has further been decided to fill up two posts of members, which included one eminent educationist and 16 posts of different categories to make Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission fully functional.
Cabinet approved recruitment and promotion rules for the post of Divisional Engineers (Soil Conservation) in the Department of Agriculture.
