He asked the Gram Panchayats to check random construction of houses along road sides and ensure that all construction was done as per the guidelines of Town and Country Planning department. This would help in smooth operation of traffic besides boosting tourism activities.
Chief Minister also directed to conduct survey for feasibility of irrigation scheme for Sangla from Kharogla khudd. Singh acclaimed the efforts of district administration and locals in restoration and relief works in the time of natural disaster which helped in bringing back normalcy in the district in a record time.
He said that State government had taken every care to provide support to the people of the district during natural disaster and development of the tribal areas would continue to get added attention.
Lambasting the previous government, he said that corruption was at its peak during BJP regime and employees and labourers were tortured to extreme. He said that he had no personal differences with the BJP but it tried to divide the State on the basis of caste and region, which was not acceptable at any cost.
He thanked the people of the State for overwhelming support and said that it was due to their love and affection that he became the Chief Minister for record sixth time.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs. 20,000 to the students of GSSS Sangla who presented a colourful cultural programme on the occasion.
