Hindu and Nepalese pilgrims visit the Bomdila Gufa Mandir in hordes in Arunachal Pradesh
In the West Kemang district of Arunachal Pradesh, which has some Hindu population along with the Nepalese living since long, have started renovating their old temples and raising the new ones.

The Bomdila Gufa Mandir - a cave temple dedicated to Shaktism and Shaivism - has been linked by a road to the foothills of its location and is now being visited by the believers. It is being deemed as a sacred and ancient cave temple.

Fagos Ratan Pakyong, a Facebook friend from Tenga Valley, informed that on January 7, he along 70 pilgrims from his village visited the Gufa Mandir on the hilltop which has been renovated and become accessible by foot, on walking through the forest.

"Gufa Mandir is an absolute demonstration of natural beauty. In fact, it's the perfect place for peace of mind or meditation. But for reaching the same we had to cross the slippery, dusty and difficult path whereas some are very adventurous which gave us flavour of hiking and trekking. In short, we can call it as our 'Local Amarnath Yatra'," he wrote in his Facebook post along with posting pictures.

The temple now has a Pujari who helps pilgrims in rituals and offering worship to Goddess Maa Bhavani. He informed that the local social groups also provide refreshments to the visitors.

Pakyong further informs that the pilgrims later left for Dirang town where they visited the Buddhist monastery and took a dip in the hot spring which is an awesome place since many people visit this place for medicinal benefits.

The mesmerizing wall paintings of the monastery spoke a thousand words regarding human virtues and vices as well as their consequences in a very excellent way, he added.
