Hindus congratulate Luxembourg's royal couple on their wedding

Hindus have congratulated Luxembourg's Crown Prince Guillaume and Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy on their wedding.

HINDU STATESMAN, Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, sent his best wishes on the special and joyful occasion of their lives, wishing them a happy future together.

Hoping their lives would be blessed with happiness and love, Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, concluded his message by offering a prayer for the couple, commending them to the protection of the Almighty as they embarked on their journey together.

Zed urged the couple to join their Hindu subjects on the upcoming Diwali, Hindu festival of lights, being celebrated by the community at Alvisse Parc Hotel in Luxembourg on October 27, which featured dances, music, traditional Indian cuisine, etc. Hinduism was the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents, including few hundred in Luxembourg, Zed added.

A pint-sized, one-of-the wealthiest and fairy-tale stuff country with the motto, 'we want to remain what we are', Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is trilingual (German, French and Luxembourgish) consisting of an army of only about 900 and traces going back to 10^th century. Grand Duke Henri is Head of State while Jean-Claude Juncker is Prime Minister of Luxembourg, whose about 87% population is Roman Catholic. It has an Indian Association (since 1991) and Indian Business Chamber.
