Hindus slam Gwyneth Paltrow for yoga remark
Hindus have criticised Gwyneth Paltrow for her sharp remark on yoga. The Hollywood beauty claims that yoga ruined her body.
HINDUS HAVE criticised Hollywood beauty Gwyneth Paltrow for her sharp remark on yoga. The Oscar winner said recently that yoga had ruined her body. Paltrow, 38, is reported to mediate daily.
Responding to Paltrow’s remark, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed said that yoga, also referred to as “a living fossil”, is mental and physical discipline which has been helping humanity since thousands of years. The origin of yoga can be traced back to 2,000 BC, handed down from one guru to next for everybody to share and benefit from.
Zed said that he found it hard to believe that this world heritage, this liberation powerhouse could have ruined Paltrow’s body.
Quoting Yoga Sutra of Patanjali Zed said that yoga if practiced in a disciplined manner and on daily basis helps to attain perfection by maintaining a balance between different elements of human nature, both physical and psychical.
Meanwhile, National Institutes of Health said that yoga helps a person to relax his body, make it more flexible, improve posture and is a stress buster; it could not have done what Paltrow claims. The actress needs to look for the cause somewhere else. Over 16 million people in the US, including several celebrities practice yoga.
