History of football world cup
Till date only 12 nations have played in to the finals of football world cup. These nations are Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, France, England, Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Sweden and Spain.
THIS IS for the first time in 32 years that both teams contesting for the FIFA World Cup final have not won it before. The last time it happened was in 1978, when Argentina played against Spain, which Argentina won.

Of the 12 nations that have played in the finals of world cup, Spain is the eighth nation to win. The other nations are Brazil being five times champion, ltaly four times, Germany three times, Argentina and Uruguay twice and France, England and Spain winning once.
The rest of the four nations Netherlands thrice, Czechoslovakia and Hungary twice and Sweden once though played in the finals but have not won the world cup finals yet.
