Holi celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir
Rajiv Mahajan, President of Shri Ram Sena, has appealed to all to maintain love and peace and said that this auspicious festival of Holi, teaches us how to maintain love and peace without caste, creed and colour differences.
SHRI RAM Sena (Jammu and Kashmir) celebrated Holi at Parade Ground, Jammu, today. All the members of Shri Ram Sena celebrated Holi with great pomp and show. Rajiv Mahajan, President of Shri Ram Sena, has appealed to all to maintain love and peace and said that this auspicious festival of Holi, teaches us how to maintain love and peace without caste, creed and colour differences. He said Hindus are the followers of Lord Krishna who teaches us to maintain brotherhood and love and we should follow the ideology of Hinduism.
 
Shri Ram Sena also expressed great resentment against the policy of government of Jammu and Kashmir, of not providing any holiday on occasion of Holi festival in J&K, even though the Central Govt. has announced holiday on this auspicious occasion on March 1, 2010 and said that the government has celebrated this festival on Sunday the February 28, 2010, which has created confusion amongst the masses.
 
Shri Ram Sena said that even in the calendar 2010, published by J&K Bank, no holiday has been announced for March 1, 2010, He said that the people have to celebrate the festival on the day announced by the Central Govt. So Shri Ram Sena and its members have celebrated this auspicious festival on March1, 2010. Rajiv Mahajan said that the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir should announce a holiday for Holi, otherwise it will create confusion and resentment amongst the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shri Ram Sena also said that since Jammu And Kashmir State is part and parcel of India, and the State Govt. should follow the celebration of festivals of Hindus, on the same day as per the announcement of Central Govt.
