Holi celebrated in Nepal, Britain's Prince Harry joins the revelry
According to media reports the two-day Holi festival was celebrated on Tuesday and Wednesday in Various parts of Nepal. In the Capital city Kathmandu both Nepalis and foreign tourists were on streets to celebrate Holi on Phagun Purnima.

Holi revelers smeared abeer of different colours and red vermillion powder and sprayed and threw colour water-filled plastic pouches at each another.

Britain's Prince Harry, 31, who is currently vesting Nepal, celebrated Holi in Pokhara region as part of his official five-day visit. He visited the Gauda Secondary School for Holi festival. He was smeared with "gulal" by cheerful students. He also took part in a traditional paint fight.

Harry's staff, bodyguards and accompanying journalists also joined the Holi revelry, it was reported.

Holi is primarily observed in India, Nepal, and other regions of the world with significant populations of Hindus or Nepalese diaspora. In recent years the festival has spread to parts of Asia, Europe and North America as a spring festival of colors mixed with fun and frolic.
