Hollywood actress Debbie Reynolds dies at 84, just a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher's death
84-year-old legendary Hollywood actress Debbie Reynolds died on Wednesday after suffering from a stroke, just a day after her movie star daughter Carrie Fisher's death, reported US media.

Her son Todd Fisher was quoted by weekly American trade magazine Variety as saying, "She wanted to be with Carrie." His comments came hours after Reynolds collapsed at her Beverly Hills home and was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai hospital.

Reynolds worked as a TV and film actress till her 80s in shows like `The Golden Girls', Roseanne', `Kim Possible', `Family Guy' and `Will and Grace', for which she won an Emmy nomination in 2000.

The vivacious blonde had a close but tempestuous relationship with her daughter Carrie. During the 50s and 60s, Reynolds was one of the prominent stars for MGM Studios and was cast in films like the 1952 classic "Singin' in the Rain" and 1964s "The Unsinkable Molly Brown", for which she also won an Oscar nomination for best actress.
