Homeopathy becoming a healing hand in India
Homeopathy is a traditional medicine which is emerging as an effective mode of treatment in India. The homeopathic clinics are mushrooming in the country at a great pace. The homeopathic market in India is expected to outpace the growth of pharmaceutical market in India in the coming few years, as the consumers of homeopathy are not only increasing within the country but are multiplying throughout the world, says a study carried out by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham).

Earlier the homeopathic medicine was only used for the treatment of kidney stone, skin problems, hair-fall, cyst and other ailments. But now it is also effectively used for treating chronic ailments like diabetes, arthritis, respiratory diseases and thyroid problems. The main advantage of homeo medicines is that they don’t show any side effects and are available at affordable prices.

The treatment through homeopathy is mainly based on the concept of suppression of symptoms. So, the medicines which are given for the treatment are just given to treat the symptoms and don’t cause any side effects. The homeopathic clinics are getting a large attention, as the people are seeking help from homeopathic experts for various ailments.

The Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) which promotes research and works under the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry says homeopathy is a method of treatment for curing the patient by medicines that possess the power of producing similar symptoms in a healthy human being simulating the natural disease, which it can cure in the diseased person. Homoeopathy treats the patients not only through holistic approach but also considers individualistic characteristics of the person, reported The Hindu.

Even after emerging as a one of the most reliable techniques of treatment for many diseases, still homeopathy is facing tough time, as the required infrastructure is not available and the hospitals are understaffed. Even though the homeopathic drug costs less than the ayurvedic and allopathic medicine, but still there is a huge gap between the homeopathy and other health care sectors. The government should take required steps to improve the services.
