Honest Prime Minister: Dishonest Governance
Everyone knows that our politicians in general including even many ministers are notorious for accumulating huge wealth by corrupt means. It is of no use of having an honest Prime Minister if he cannot induce honesty in the governance-system.
NO ONE, even from opposition parties, can even doubt about personal honesty of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan singh. But compulsion of blackmailing alliance-politics has undoubtedly pushed India into the quagmire of dishonest governance with regional allies making Prime Minister dance to their tunes. Most recent example is unethical appointment of PJ Thomas as new Chief Vigilance Commissioner. Dr Manmohan Singh should launch a crash initiative to unearth undisclosed wealth and income of those in power and politics. Then, he as Prime Minister will get stability directly from people rather than from blackmailing allies. His efforts will always gain strength from media and civil society.
