YouTube is a world in itself and this year's king on the social networking platform was Korean singer Psy, who got international fame with his Gangnam style. However, the king has been dethroned by our own Honey Singh, who became the star of YouTube with two videos in the list of ten most-trending Indian videos of 2012.
HONEY SINGH'S "International Villager" has been attracting global eyeballs since its release in 2011. Two of his songs from the same album are at the top of the list, and on the fourth number. His song "Brown Rang" is the song that has gained the first position, making Psy's Gangnam Style second in the list.
Honey Singh who started off as a Punjabi rapper soon grabbed the nation's as well as global attention when he topped the Asian chart as well as iTunes and BBC Asian chart. He also became the most expensive artist after he charged 70 lakh rupees for one song for his upcoming film Mastaan.
These days he is busy building up his Bollywood career with hits from films like Khiladi 786. The rest of the list includes Ek Tha Tiger's 'Mashallah', Cocktail's Tumi ho Bandhu and Daaru Desi. Jism 2's title song, Saans from Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita from Rowdy Rathore have taken up positions at seven, eight and ten respectively.
