HONEYMOON IS a thing, which everyone plans after marriage. But these days newly wed couples of Kanpur are worried! Well the reason is rising temperature. If in April temperature is touching 43 degrees in Kanpur then what will be the situation in hill station like Ooty, Shimla and Haridwar. Many city based couples are postponing their honeymoon due to rising mercury.
Hemant Sharma, city based businessman informs, "Recently we got married and we were planning to visit Shimla. But things gradually changed after second week of April, in Kanpur itself when the temperature is touching 44 degree then what will be happening in other cities. So me and my wife Pratishtha decided to postpone our honeymoon till the temperature comes down."
Ditto is the case with Abhinav Sharma, who was planning to visit Uttrakhand. "Before getting married we planned our trip to Nainital, Valley of Flowers and Ranikhet. But when one of my friends who stays in Uttrakhand informed that these places are getting hotter day by day then we postponed our trip and now we are re-planning our trip to some other places. Rising temperature is really affected our dream trip for which my wife is annoyed with me," says Abhinav.
Kanpurites are postponing their vacations and honeymoon due to rising temperature but Ajay Yadav businessman has postponed his vacation due to professional obligation. "I got married in February and planned our vacation cum honeymoon in April. But professional obligations came in-between. After March new financial year has started and I am unable to spare time for honeymoon, which is irritating my wife and me. But I have promised my wife that we will be visiting Mount Abu one of my favourite destination," informs Ajay.
Same is the case with Rakesh Gupta industrialist says, "Everything from reservation in hotel and flight tickets all was done in before were also ready. But due to business obligation I was unable to go on honeymoon. I think these days professional obligations are coming between our personal and professional life."
Further he adds, "Nowadays, it becoming a trend that every professional in any sector don't waste money on trips. First they settle down and earn handsome amount for their dream destination. I am planning my trip after mid July because at that time the market will be dull due to rainy season.
Where on one hand, professionals are postponing their honeymoons to save money for their dream trips. But some couples like Shashank and Meeta Jaiswal are saving money as they want to stabilise their life first."
