TO MOST of us, astrology is all about the 'sign' which refers to one of the 12 constellations of the zodiac. This is according to sun sign astrology which informs most newspaper horoscopes, and which is probably also the simplest form since what is required to generate a sun-sign horoscope is nothing more than someone's birthday.
But how far is it worth believing in a horoscope? What if someone doesn't know his/her date of birth? What if the time/date provided is inaccurate? These are quite a few questions that strike each one of us. Along with astrology there is also numerology, tarot reading, palmistry, and face reading - all dealing in one's past, present and future.
But if it would have been so simple to know the future why would people bother to struggle to achieve their dreams. Why don't we get to know what is going to happen in the future? Why are we not able to solve problems before they occur? Do we have any answer to these questions? No.
Even the great astrologers believe that astrology is not 100 per cent correct. It just gives us a hint and the remedy they provide is not the complete solution to the problem. However, we cannot discard the great predictions made by the great astrologers.
And what of all the people in India who are not aware of their date of birth, let alone their time of birth. So, according to astrology, they cannot be assessed. It has only been in the past few decades that people began paying more attention towards astrology, and even kundali matching for marriage, etc. The worst part is when kundali turns into something totally different after the marriage. In such cases, what is the point in believing the Pandit? Do the Pandit's words precede other factors such as love and family?
Those who believe astrology, tend to be staunch believers. Even their names will be based on numerology, all their moves are dictated by astrology. For those who don't believe in it, it is nothing more than a piece of paper, like the newspaper horoscope.
But at the end of the day, the main thing is that we have only one life, let us all enjoy it from the bottom of our heart, let us do what we want to do, let us live how we want to live and with whom we want to live. Because once we are gone, we won't get a second chance. As people say "Jo hota hai, aache ke liye hi hota hai (whatever happens is for our good)”. Rather than indulging in corrections, deviations, right moves or wrong moves as advised by astrology or other sciences, let us enjoy our life as it comes.
Life is all about living and happy living and is not about how long you live, rather how happily you spend each moment of your life. There is life in every moment. Enjoy it!
