Right from the beginning we have seen Akalis supporting the Khalistan movement. If they are so why not speak about it openly? The entire Golden Temple episode followed by murder of Smt. Indira Gandhi could have been avoided if the so called SGPC or Akalis put up a hard buckle in the neck of the cadres who later indulged in violence. All kept mum when those people put up bunkers inside Golden Temple and killers used to flee inside and take refuge. Akalis and SGPC were singing the mantra of universal brotherhood. They neither had the courage nor guts to flush those rogues out of Golden Temple, a sacred place of Sikh religion. They protested and mourned, only when Indian govt was forced to take a strong stand in flushing out the terrorists and killing Bhindranwale. No Akali or SGPC member came out openly and supported the move. Why?

They wanted to form Khalistan so that they will become Presidents and Prime Ministers and get VIP respect plus have a bulging pocket. People are idiots and will remain the same.

Any way I can visualise now the outcome of Akali’s coming to power. Terrorism will crop up as also the demand for Khalistan. Akali’s will give a Nelson’s eye to this, resulting in loss of lives of many innocent Sikhs and other community people. Indian government needs to gear up its security system in Punjab as Akali leaders are going to set-up links across the border to get arms for their cadres. The clemency for Balwant Singh Rajoana is a clear signal.
