WITH TEAMS like Royal Challengers Bangalore picking themselves up from the dirt to sport a few wins under their belt, the rush for the cup intensifies. The Delhi Daredevils and Deccan Chargers, once prominent leaders of the pack, now face the humbling task of working to meet the qualifying mark. Speculations have always been high about the future of Twenty 20. Discussions have been endless on whether T20s would trample over Test and even ODIs formats. Many countries today are thinking of a similar tournament to boost the revenue and give youth talent a platform to demonstrate their skills. The money that exists is obviously another major factor to the heightened demand and involvement. The media of course loves any hype. But how far will this hyped money-rich format last? How long will it live? Would cricket ten years from now means a match of 20 overs?
