We have no beginning or end, we will always exist as our eternal clock ticks and rewinds from Brahma to Brahma eternally. Now, it is common understanding that kali yuga started about 5000 years ago...

IN THE Bhagwat Mahatmya, Bhagwan Ved Vyas reveals a great secret and says that this is the 28th dwapar (of Vaivaswat manvantar). Not in all, but sometimes at the end of the 28th dwapar of a kalp the supreme personality of god, Krishna, in His absolute loving form descends in the world on the land of Bharatvarsh and reveals his supremely charming playful divine leelas; and that had happened in our age just about 5,000 years ago. According to the above information, Brahma’s age which is also the absolute age of our sun and the earth planet is: 50 years of Brahma x 720 days and nights x (1,000 x 4.32 million years of the four yugas, which is one day of Brahma) 1,972 million yeasS (the existing age of the earth planet) = 155.521972 trillion years.

Hence Brahmaji and our earth are 155.521972 trillion years old as we are in the seventh manvantar of Brahmaji’s 51st year and his second day or Kalpa of that year called shvet varah kalp. The first day being known as Brahm Kalp. One year of Brahma is of 360 days (and one month of Brahma is of 30 days). So, 360 x 50 = 18,000 days and nights of Brahma have elapsed. Thus, our earth planet and the sun have already been renovated 18,000 times. It’s a big figure, but reasonable if you think over it deeply.

As a kalpa consists 14 manvantars and one manvantar is: 308.57142 million years. Thus, 1851.4285 (6 manvantar) + 116.6400 (27 cycles of four yugas) + 3.8931 (the three yugas and the elapsed time of kaliyug) = 1971.9627 million years have passed till the begining of this Kalpa till 2009AD. Below mentioned is the chronology of events from the beginning of events in this kalpa or day one of Brahmajis 51st year till 2009AD.

Period description
1. 120.5331(million years ago) - the existing Manvantar beginning of the existing (seventh) manvantar of Vaivaswat Manu who had ten sons and one daughter. Surya Vansh starts from his elder son Ikchvaku and Chandra Vansh starts from his daughter Ela. Bhakt Ambarish was in the 3rd generation of his son Nabhag. The Puranas mention more than 50 important personalities of Surya Vansh who were between Ikchvaku and Bhagwan Ram in 102 million years.

2. 3.8931 million years of the 3 yugas and the part of Kali Yuga passed till date years till 3228 BC. -Emperor Mandhata’s rule in Bharatvarsh (57.024), descent of Parashuram (39.744), Descension of Bhagwan Ram (18.144).

3. From 3228 BC onwards - descent of Bhagwan Krishna. According to the “Surya Siddhant” the astrologers have calculated that kaliyug started on the afternoon of 17th February, 3102BC. In the Bhagwatam, Brahma tells in round figures that Krishna remained on this earth planet for 125 years.

Accordingly, if you add 125 years to February 3102, it comes to February 3227 BC. But Krishn’s descension was in the Rohini nakchatra (asterism) of the 8th waning moon midnight of bhadon (August) which is about seven months earlier. Thus, His descent date is 3228 BC and He stayed on the earth planet for 125 years and about 7 months.

4. 3102 BC (age of Kali) - ascension of Bhagwan Krishna and the beginning of kaliyuga.

5. 2139 BC- end of Brihadrath dynasty (21 kings for 1,000 years).

8. 1894-1814 BC - Gautama Buddha.

9. 1641-1541 BC- Nandas (Mahapadm Nand and his 8 sons for 100 years).

10. 1541-1241 BC - Maurya dynasty (10 kings for about 300 years).

11. 1541-1507 BC- Chandragupt Maurya (34 years).

12. 1507-1479 BC- Bindusar (28 years).

13. 1479-1443 BC- Ashokvardhan (36 years).

14. 1241-784 BC- Shung and Kanua dynasty (14 kings for 457 years).

19. 321-270 BC  - Samudragupt Ashokaditya Priyadarshin, or Ashok the Great

20. 102 BC-15 AD - Vikramaditya, established the Vikram era in 57 BC.

21. AD 25-85 - Shalivahan (ruled for 60 years), established Shalivahan Shak era in 78 AD.

22. 85-1192 - There were several kingdoms of Rajpoot kings all over India. They ruled for 1,107 years.

23. 1192-1757 - In 1192, Mohammad Gori invaded Delhi (Hastinapur) the second time, defeated and killed Prithiviraj Chauhan, and became the king. Since then several dynasties of Muslims ruled India for 565 years, then,

24. 1757-1947 - In 1757, English regime was established in Bengal. British ruled India for 190 years.

25. 1947 - 2009 - In 1947, India won Independence and 62 years have elapsed since independence. I hope this history will finish any doubt on our existence in this universe.

As per the Mayans, the Kaliyuga 2012 millenarianism is a present-day cultural meme proposing that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur in the year 2012. It means that the existing Kali era is 5110 years old in 2009AD, which comes to (5110 - 2009) 3102 BC. Many scholars interpret the forecast is based primarily on what is claimed to be the end-date of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 years and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012, exactly matching our Kaliyuga's beginning.

Hence it is nothing but the calculation of the starting of Kaliyuga and not the end of Kaliyuga and it is along with interpretations of assorted legends, scriptures, numerological constructions and prophecies that Mayans had predicted the events. Archaeologists made the mistake as Mayans took 3102BC as the year of the new beginning and calculated all events backwards.

The interpretation of this transition must be  that, during this time, the planet and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a newer socio-political age for the global community. This is true as the same star configuration in the constellation of Rohini is repeating in 2012 which saw the birth of Krishna. Hence Mayans have predicted the birth of a new avatar, Purush.
