FOR THE exact retro hairstyle you need some bobby pins, hair pins, rat tail or part comb, brush and super strength hair spray. First comb your hair properly and then part it to the edge of the crown. Now take one side and gather the hair to the front and pin it up in the middle of the top, smoothen the partition.

Take the other side partition of the hair and roll it in a counter-clockwise direction, again a bit loosly. And pin it in the same way as explained above. Now use the rat comb and fluff up the rolls to create height. And you are now done with the retro hairstyle of 40's.
