How to relax and be stress-free?
The problem in the world today is not war or poverty, it is tension. Nowadays, so many people are dying because of hypertension. All our negative emotions, all our anger, all our frustration, all our irritation, and all our fear are always within us - we just don't let them go. We hold on to them, we cling to them and when we do this, the whole human body responds to that - adversely.
WHEN YOU go on facing the onslaught of daily pressures of life, your brain pushes that into a deeper system. And the problem transfers from the nerves to the endocrine system and when the endocrine system comes into play, there is a negative effect on your health. Today, 90 percent of health disorders faced by us are due to the onslaught of tension and stress and because we are nor relaxed.
Tension and stress also affects your common sense and you take wrong decisions, which lead to confusion, pain, suffering, and conflict - and all this further leads to even more tension, which is known as a vicious cycle. If you don't want to be in a vicious cycle then learn to relax. Now, the question is - how to relax?
Give yourself some time to relax and keep all the issues away about work or personnel problems. You can even take a structured relaxation path, which includes meditation, yoga or martial arts. Try some short and simple exercises such as muscle relaxation exercise, meditation to reduce stress or stress relief exercise.
A small change in your lifestyle, like changing your eating habits and getting exercise will help to keep the body healthier. The healthier body is the more it will help you in doing other activities which includes relaxation. Don't think that every time sleep will provide relaxation. If you are suffering from stress induced insomnia then daytime napping will not provide you relief. Instead, try to get involved in some activity that gives you pleasure.
