How to remove criminals from Indian politics?
We can remove criminals from politics with the following actions necessary from different sections of the society, which primarily includes the educated section and the youth comprising of professionals.
HOW TO remove criminals from Indian politics is a major future problem, which is killing the spirit of statesmanship from our political and social system. The EC (Election Commission) has already expressed its inability to control them and the political parties are also not shying away from disassociating itself with aspirants who come with a criminal record.

When the two systems of our democracy are failing in providing a suitable candidate to the citizens of the nation then the other pillars of the democracy should play their role in an effective manner. The other pillars are the educated youth of the nation and the judiciary. Their role is enhanced in the presence of other system’s failure. The educated youth should move with PIL in their minds related to the protection of Fundamental/Human Rights of the common men who are unable to move the Court on their own.

Read the Constitution of India, it has given plenty of wings to the poor citizens of the nation but these rights are forfeited by these authorities. It is the duty of every educated person to protect other’s welfare even at the cost of their comfort. Why is it so that the EC is working against the perceptions of the Court which accepts that let the hundred criminals go unpunished but a single innocent should not be punished? What is EC doing? It is protecting the so-called Democratic Right of a criminal to contest the election when it is forfeiting the fundamental rights of the innocent voters to be represented by someone innocent, honest, morally good and kind hearted man.

On an average one MP represents 1.473 million voters in the country. 800 million voters divided by 543 MPs. The EC is forfeiting the fundamental democratic rights of the 1.473 million voters but it is not willing to defeat the so-called right of a criminal to contest the elections. How to remove criminals from politics?

The educated youth, particularly the advocates, teachers and the journalists should move the High Court as ‘Petitioner in Person’. Ask the Court to protect the rights because that is why these Courts have been absolutely empowered by the constitution of India. It is their duty to protect these rights.

The PIL should be drafted after reading the Constitution, which will broaden their vision. Let there be a Democratic Revolution without any bloodshed. The EC should ask a certificate from every criminal that he should not be adjudicated as guilty because it is necessary for him to protect the Fundamental Rights of the voters of the area to be represented by someone and if the Courts are giving him jail then the voters will be debar of their right of representation.

The EC can do it because it is his duty to conduct the election in free and fair manner. It cannot be treated as fair is it is unable to protect the rights of its voters. The Courts cannot give him that type of certificate therefore these criminals will be removed from politics without any bloodshed.

The EC should de-recognise the party that has failed in giving a non-criminal candidate to the voters of the area. The voters have the right to know about the antecedents of the candidate, which has been decided by the Supreme Court of India in case of ADR vs. UOI, but it has been measured very lightly by the EC. Antecedent should mean till the date of polling but not till the date of filling the nomination papers because these criminals are left free to apply their criminal and immoral techniques during elections.

The website of the EC should sport the photo SMS of any criminal activity during elections in necessary to stop the criminal and immoral activities during elections. Incentives to BPL voters and the Appreciation Certificates to others for complying with their social responsibility of casting the votes should also be initiated. It should also increase the percentage of voting and will remove the discrimination by the Government between the public and private servants and the other voters.

The right of equality will be maintained. That freedom of making the submission by the voters through photo SMS will discourage the criminals to contest the elections because their past misdeeds can also be submitted by the voters of his area, which can become more troublesome to that criminal.

This exercise by the educated will bring the revolution in our democracy without any bloodshed and the nation will once again become the golden bird.
