They inspired us.” said Phil McKinney, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Personal Systems Group, HP, and head of HP’s IPO. “To serve kids, their parents and their grandparents in a family – sharing one device – that was our goal. Today we have unveiled HP DreamScreen, which is just a version 1.0 of a long series of product experiences to follow. HP will subsequently take this experience to other countries.” Aligned to HP’s vision of addressing the barriers to PC adoption in India and women in particular, HP also announced its partnership with iSKIP, a social venture with an aim to instill economic security through skills training and facilitating enhanced access to livelihood opportunities. HP will be funding the training program and will provide HP DreamScreen units that will empower the beneficiary women. The concept and business model is scalable to other countries and regions. It offers HP the opportunity to serve families across the world over that don’t have a PC at home today. Pricing and Availability The HP DreamScreen will be available beginning November 25th across 700 outlets across 60 cities in the country at a special price point of Rs. 19,999 plus taxes, exclusively for Airtel and Tata subscribers.
