The Pune Petrol Dealers Association (PPDA) have announced that all petrol pumps of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) will be closed for three days from 15 September 2013. This shut down is to mark the protest against the alleged high-handedness of HPCL officials.
The total number of petrol pumps in Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad area are around 47. The other petrol pumps will also stop their services for three days, for their long pending demands on revision of CNG commission.
The president of Pune Petrol Dealers Association, Baba Dhumal said, “HPCL has started debiting money from dealers’ account directly, forcing us to buy lubricants. This is especially being done by two officers who were sending threatening messages to dealers and the menace has increased since January. Despite complaints, the company has not taken any action against them,” reported DNA.
He says that, Pune dealers are getting less commission in CNG dispense when compared to Mumbai dealers. And he makes the oil companies responsible, for chaos and shortage of CNG in Pune.
