Humans cannot get any smarter
Human brains have reached their maximum limit as per latest research. The study carried out in London also states interesting reasons for the statement.

ACCORDING TO latest research in London, it has been found that human beings are at their prime as far as their grey matter goes. As per research, humans have reached their limit of intelligence, which meansthis is cleverest we can get. The researchers are quite sure that even the brightest and the most intelligent people will not get any cleverer as the grey matter of our brains has stopped changing or evolving.

The research was published in a newspaper, which stated that the progress in human brains depends on the structure of the brain, and how much energy it uses. These two are the vital points in the evolution of brain cells in humans. Supporting the theory is a reason that says that since the brain cells cannot get any smaller from its present stage, hence the multiplication of the brains cells is also out of questions, and in turn, our intelligence also stops.

Another thought behind the research is that the number of connections between brain cells also cannot increase for the amount of energy used. Research has proved that the better connected the parts of the brain, the higher a person's IQ. The paper also shows that although our brain weighs only 2 percent of a human body’s weight yet it uses 20 percent of the overall energy. Thus, this clearly indicates that if any more brain cells increase or if the connections between the brains cells increase then it would take an immense amount of energy, and this will exert pressure on the body.

Simon Laughlin, professor of neurobiology at Cambridge University, said, “We have demonstrated that brains must consume energy to function and that these requirements are sufficiently demanding to limit our performance and determine design.” This researcher also believes that the brain evolution can also go into reverse if there is a shortage of food. Supporting his argument he is quoted as saying, “The fact that brains both expand and contract during evolution shows that the optimum balance changes with circumstances.”
