Hyderabad bomb blasts leave the nation terror-struck
Two bomb blasts in Hyderabad took place on Saturday evening leaving behind a smoke of terror. The fatal blasts have led to a situation of high tension and a red alert has been declared.

TWIN BOMB BLASTS in the city of Hyderabad sent shockwaves across the nation on Saturday evening around 2000 hours killing at least 44 persons and leaving over 50 injured.

The first blast took place at Gokul Chat Shop in Koti area at 1945 hrs and the second blast took place at Lumbini Park open-air auditorium, opposite State Secretariat at 1950 hrs when a laser show was going on located at a distance of 5 kms from the point of the first bomb blast.

A red alert has been declared in Delhi and Chandigarh and all bordering areas of Hyderabad have been sealed. All theatres, malls and public places are on red alert and people have been advised to stay indoors.

According to sources, Sayyed Ilias Bilal, the mastermind behind the historic Mecca Masjid bomb blasts that took place in Andhra Pradesh earlier this year in May is said to be behind these blasts as well.  Bilal is associated with Laskar-ae-Taiba. Bilal is a native of Hyderabad.

The Police also doubt ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) Pakistan and feel that they could have a hand in these blasts that have taken the entire city by storm. Another finger points in the direction of Jihad-e-Islam Bangladeshi group’s association in this ghastly act of terrorism.

It has been discovered that the bombs had timers attached to them and another bomb at Tirmura Hills was diffused which was supposed to blast at 2220 hrs. The explosives were brought from Karachi and these blasts have left the entire country in distress.

The injured persons have been admitted to nearby Medi City, Osmania and Yashoda Hospitals. A team of forensic experts is already analyzing the reason behind these blasts.

Chief Minister YSR Reddy visited the spot and stated that these attacks are the outcome of some fatal terrorist activity and appealed to people o stay calm and co-operate with the authorities. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has condemned the blasts and expressed deep concern over national security.
