Hyderabad Heroes won first final of ICL tournament
In the first final of the best of three finals of the Edelweiss ICL Twenty20 tournament under the captaincy of former New Zealand all rounder Chris Harris, Hyderabad Heroes beat former Pakistani skipper Inzaman-ul- Haq led Lahore Badshah by six runs.

IN THE first final of the best of three finals of the Edelweiss ICL Twenty20 tournament under the captaincy of former New Zealand all rounder Chris Harris, Hyderabad Heroes beat former Pakistani skipper Inzaman-ul-Haq led Lahore Badshah by six runs in a very close match at Tau Devi Lal stadium in Panchkula on April 4.
 
Earlier, Hyderabad Heroes went on to open the inning scoring 143 runs for the loss of six wickets, in stipulated 20 overs. Ambati Rayudu scored 44 runs just in 42 balls, which included 2 sixes and 2 fours. Former Pakistani seamer Rana Naved-ul-Hasan clinched two wickets on the cost of 47 runs.
 
This was the first defect for Lahore Badshah in this tournament. For Hyderabad Heroes, Abdul Razzaq bowled last over, which Badshah had to score 12 runs to win the first final. Razzaq claimed three wickets to clinch the victory from the jaw of defeat. Taufeeq Umar was the leading scorer for defeated side. He scored unbeaten 43 runs in 48 balls. Match was looking in favour of Badshah till Azhar Mahmood was on crease. He smashed a quick 34 runs just in 16 balls.
 
Tau Devi Lal stadium, was full from spectators. Fans were carrying flags to boost up their favorites team. Cheer girls also danced to the beat of the music and cheered their favorite’s team.
 
The winner of the Edelweiss ICL Twenty20 tournament will get Rs 2.5 crore, while the first runners-up will take home Rs 1.25 crore.
