THE PRESTIGIOUS 66th conference of world Newspaper and 16th world Editors forum will be held in Hyderabad at HICC (Hyderabad International Convention Center) from 30 November to 3 December, 2009. The conference will be inaugurated by the President of India Mrs. Pratibha Patil. This conference is being held for the first time in South Asia. In order to make the event a success a delegation of the organizing committee came to Hyderabad on Wednesday and met the Chief Minister Rosaria and Geetha Reddy, the Information Minister.

The CM also held a meeting with all officials including the police and reviewed the arrangements. Nearly 1800 representatives from various countries are attending the conference.

The federation of world newspapers was founded in the year 1948 with 76 news dailies according to the Vice President of the Association Pratap Pawar. The exchange of opinions and views of journalists is the conference's main agenda, he said.

This conference will give a leg up to Hyderabad tourism and many countries know the potential of the city. Recently the city got the longest flyover of the country. The 11.64 kilometre flyover is an attraction for the delegates besides the 400-year old Charminar.
