I Hate Love Storys: Punit Malhotra debuts as director

After sharpening his skills as assistant director in Bollywood hits Punit Malhotra is all set to trigger as a debutante director in his much talked about upcoming film I Hate Love Storys starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor.

AFTER SHARPENING skills as assistant director in Bollywood hits like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, Kabhi Alivida Naa Kehna, Kal Ho Na Ho and as creative director in Paheli; Punit Malhotra, who is also the nephew of the costume designer Manish Malhotra is all set to trigger as a debutante director in his much talked about upcoming film I Hate Love Storys. The film stars Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, giving Bollywood a fresh and new onscreen couple. I Hate love Storys is produced by Karan Johar, Ronnie Screwala and Hiroo Johar under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures and Dharma Productions. The story of this pro- romance film is wriiten by Punit Malhotra itself and is said to be showing a clash and fusion of two different minds on the love stage. Sounds like a must watch!

The film is about strenuous Jai who aspires to become a successful film maker. He is assistant director in a commercial romantic film under Veer’s direction but he himself is cynical towards romance. How unfortunate it is when cute guy turns love resistant….! Determined to his work he tries to fix everything right. Next to him we have beautiful, softhearted Simran who is production designer in the same film has totally opposite nature. Like most of the love stories in Indian cinema….. Born to a Punjabi father and a Gujarati mother, she is a pampered girl. To your surprise, she already has a boyfriend, Raj. She is a girl who is always talking about love stories and romance. Oh no! It is not this mild. Besides, she is always taking names of romantic movies in her general conversation. Moreover, it is to this extent where her life turns into a new, crisp love story.

Now, story begins where Jai is to work under Simran. And, this brings the quake in Simran’s life which is doomed due to Jai’s disbelief in love. No doubt, when two such people meet something has to happen. That is it all about.

Music by Vishal and Shekhar has already rocked the name. Now, the movie is about to spark on the screen with Akiv Ali’s editing and Ayananka Bose’s cinematography. Bosco Caesar’s choreography will definitely bring it to groove.
