I prefer Modi to be Prime Minister in 2014
Three day fast ended by Narendra Modi which attracted the attention of the whole country. Will he become prime ministerial candidate of BJP for the next polls? Will BJP win the election?
LEADERS FROM all faiths thronged to offer lemon Juice to Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi as he ended his three day fast. People from all faiths praised Modi for uniting the country by promoting peace, harmony and Justice.

Around Rs 60 crore would have been spent, Government machinery served him with utmost sincerity, and several national leaders formed a beeline to his air-conditioned venue. Modi gained a bit of health and some political mileage by fasting for three days.

But, can he beat Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Nitin Gadkari for the post of prime ministerial candidate? Of course it looks like so! Advani even shifted his rath yatra to Bihar from Gujarat.

So, what next? Modi will start his aggressive campaign in every district of Gujarat to conquer 2012 polls by a huge margin. Then he will take his campaign beyond Gujarat, covering entire country.

And then, will BJP win 2014 elections? May not be. As on today, Congress is still strong. But Modi will be the strongest power outside congress who will try to dictate terms to the ruling party. Eventually, by the end of the decade, he might be sitting on the throne.

For me it’s not an issue when he is going to become PM at the age of 72! But politics are not always logical. Modi, though showed no regret over violence in 2002, looks more amicable these days for the sake of power. So, if he is trying to move towards inclusive agenda, he could be encouraged to do so sooner than later.

If not in 2014, there is every chance that he will be an irresistible leader by 2019, and would have become ruthless by then. So, I prefer Modi to be PM in 2014 rather than 2019!
