I promote love to millions of Indians who assume I am the best lover in the world: Shah Rukh Khan at TED Conference
The king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan enlightened a TED Conference at Vancouver on Thursday, playfully portraying himself as an aging star and sharing his life as well as the changes around him.

Shah Rukh's words on the TED stage came just a couple of months before the version of the big-idea-sharing event makes it's television debut in India, where he will be playing the role of the curator Chris Anderson.

">In a very rare display of events, plethora of fans gathered at the convention center where TED talk was taking place. Some of them were even pressing against the windows to watch King Khan's appearance being streamed on to television screens.

"For years, I've been a huge fan of TED Talks," he said, in reference to the conference's freely shared videos in which accomplished and brilliant people dive concisely into absolutely captivating concepts.

"There are so many people in India who would like to come out with their ideas and thoughts, and speak them in Hindi."

The TED curator Anderson mentioned that TED Talks India is the organization's most ambitious television project by far. He expects it to reach millions of people when the episodes begin to be telecast later this year.

In a TED video which is pretty much likely to go viral when it is released online, the 51-year-old Khan (51 Year old!) reminisced about growing up in a time when the use of the word 'apple' brought a fruit to one's mind not a world-changing company co-founded by the late Steve Jobs.

He spoke of his career sky rocketing and the arrival of the internet age where this social networking was so uncontrollably spreading that he felt "humanity, like me, was becoming an over-exposed prima donna."

"I sell dreams and I peddle love to millions of people back home in India who assume that I am the best lover in the world," Shah Rukh said as he began his talk.

"It has to be you who creates a world that is its own best lover, that should be the future you," King Khan said at the closing, referring to the theme of the conference.
