ICC World T20: Manish Pandey to replace injured Yuvraj Singh
Just before the semifinal clash between India and the West Indies in World T20 , all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has to be excluded from the Team India due to an ankle injury. The left-handed all-rounder will be replaced by Manish Pandey.

"The ICC has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 has approved Manish Pandey as a replacement player for Yuvraj Singh in India's squad for the tournament," said ICC in a statement.

"Any injury or illness-based replacement requires a written submission to the Event Technical Committee along with a diagnosis from a medical practitioner as to the extent of the injury or illness. Once replaced, a player may not return to the squad save as an approved subsequent replacement for another injured or ill player," ICC added.

Yuvraj Singh, while playing against Australia in the do-or-die match at Mohali, twisted his ankle. Thus, he has been "ruled out of further participation in the tournament". Singh was soon attended by the physio after the injury as his pain was unbearable.

Pandey has played two T20Is against Zimbabwe in Harare in July last year and four ODIs. The 26-year-old last played for India in the 5th and final ODI at Sydney. There, he signed off with his maiden century.
