India is a land of rich culture. For preserving and promoting the prosperous ethnicity of India, ICCR is organizing the three days 'International Dance Festival'. Foreign artists performing Indian dance forms is the major highlight of the festival.

FOR PROMOTING and strengthening the cultural ties with artists from other countries, Indian Council for Cultural Relations is organising ‘International Dance Festival’ from 2^nd August to 4^th August, 2010 at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. The festival is a beautiful mix of artists hailing from countries like Malaysia, Germany, Russia, South Africa, Indonesia and Mauritius performing Indian dance forms.

The festival will be inaugurated by Dr. Karan Singh, President, ICCR on 2^nd August, 2010. The first day of the festival will see Odissi and Kathak dance performances by Ramli Ibrahim’s Group from Malaysia and Aila El-Edross from Indonesia respectively. Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam dance performances will be showcased on the 2nd day of the festival. Third and final day will see Kathak, Kuchipudi and Kathakali dance performances. All performances will be presented by artists and groups coming from different countries.

The performances will start after 6:30 in the evening and entry is free on all the three days. The festival encourages artists from other countries and India to improvise and experiment while paying homage to the great classical and folk forms of India’s cultural expression. The three day fiesta will also demonstrate the rich and affluent culture of India.
