If Kejriwal was an anarchist then what about the Parliamentarians who are disrupting both the houses?
Few Days ago when Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sat on a dharna, everybody criticized him for spreading anarchy. Kejriwal had to end his dharna abruptly claiming some small gains. People rejected such anarchism. All other parties including the member of Parliaments too had criticized such anarchy.

But the champions of anarchy are in fact sitting inside the Parliament. The budget session of the parliament started from 5th February but till date no business happened because of adjournments due to disruption. A week has passed without any work!

Members are entering the well of the house, standing in front of the speaker, shouting slogans, showing banners/placards and tearing up papers! All these acts are far from decorum of the house, illegal and violation of general procedures! One would be ashamed of such vandalism and chaos seeing on Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha TVs. It always makes us to repent that what type of representatives we have sent to the august Houses!

The government has the right to govern and the opposition has a right to be heard. Both the parties are equally responsible for a smooth conduct of the House proceedings! There should be quality debate on various issues including legislations. There must be decorum and little bit humor!

Earlier whenever there used to be any debate people stick to their TV sets to watch it. However, nowadays no one like to watch debates taking place in the Parliament. Whenever there is an altercation people throw joke that it is not Parliament and hence one should tone down. Parliament is being referred as a place worse than a fish market.

Thus the credibility of the Parliamentary proceeding is eroding day by day. The MPs are responsible for this and such disruptions are clear act of demagoguery.

Especially in this Lok Sabah tenure, parliament has subjected to most adjournments and least business. In last 15 sessions Parliament sat for only 350 days against the expected 500 days. Nearly 170 bills are pending in one of the House.

Everyday there are some adjournments and disruptions. It appears that both the government and opposition are interested not in quality debate but rather on cacophony, insulting, political sledging and sloganeering. The political parties prefer to debate with each other at TV studios more decently in front of anchor-regulator.

Both the leaders of the parties as well as regulators of the Houses appear to be incapable of stopping such condemning acts. There are certain rules of conduct inside the Parliament and there is a defined procedure! But it's really astonishing why the Lok Sabha speaker and Vice President in the Rajya Sabha appear to be so weak and yielding to even single member party to adjourn the Houses? Is there lack of leadership or such hooliganism is now accepted as privilege of members?

The last session of the current parliament too is likely to be wasted due to election year, as none is ready to care the democratic ethics and busy in shouting inside the House for selfish political interests. The Houses can’t also perform unless the errant members are subjected to disciplinary action.

Speaker has the option to remove disturbing members by Marshals and such members can also be suspended from the Parliament. But when every party is responsible for disruption, how can speaker take the tough steps. But unless it’s controlled things would be much worse in coming years!

Who will take necessary action? Political parties themselves won't. Court can’t intervene, public’s power limited to electing the representatives. It’s really worrying people how the decorum of the Houses would be back to normal! Should Anna do another revolution demanding anti-anarchic Parliamentary conduct bill? I think it’s the only way to restore the credibility and decorum of our august Houses!
