Realising its corporate social responsibility, Indian Farmers' Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has distributed mosquito nets to inmates of Kendrapara sub-jail. The move comes at the right time as the mosquito breeding season has started in the state.
AS PART of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Paradeep Unit of the Indian Farmers' Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has distributed mosquito nets to the inmates of Kendrapara sub-jail.
At a special function held in the jail premises on Friday last, Kendrapara district collector, Durga Prasad Behera, superintendent of police, Sarthak Sarangi and district judge Radha Krushna Patnaik distributed 200 mosquito nets, supplied by IFFCO, to the inmates of the jail.
It would help in prevention of dengue and malaria in jail premises, and help the jail inmates in leading a healthy life, hoped B K Sahoo, Manager (Admn), IFFCO-Paradeep.
It may be mentioned that fertiliser major IFFCO's Paradip Unit was awarded the prestigious "Kalinga CSR Award- 2011" by 'Odisha State Safety Conclave' recently for the exemplary work undertaken by the company in the field of CSR activities in the state.
