Ignorance, radicalism shuts out Pakistan
The Facebook was banned first, then came the turn of Youtube. The Pakistani youth is angry that illiterate people interfere with acquisition of knowledge.
WHEN A nation bans most of the media from being used by its citizens, it is a sure sign of the nation going back to the Stone Age. Right now the Pakistanis, except the enlightened youth, are in the reverse gear. The enlightenened elements in the civil society and in the government should put things in correct perspective and provide a soothing solace to the ruffled tempers of the illiterate masses who get worked up.
Islam is in danger - that is the bugbear used by rabble rousers for their vested interests. it is well known that the youth of Pakistan who use the Internet, write on the Facebook and watch youtube are not a part of the protest. However, they form the silent minority who work peacefully. The radical elements are vociferous, violent and rabble rousers but they make the government bow down by arson, loot and wanton killings. It is time the Enlightened ones rise up and be counted as ones who want to take Pakistan forward and do not wishto limit their activity like frogs in the well. We wish them well. ARISE AWAKE AND LEARN FROM THE ENLIGHTENED ONES.
